Our Circa 1801 brand provides luxurious and highly decorative fabric to fine
furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors and to creative makers of a variety of
home fashions products both domestically and internationally.
In 2007 Valdese Weavers acquired Circa 1801/Doblin Fabrics, repositioning the
brand as Circa 1801, to focus on the high end decorative fabric trade. The
reemergence of this elegant brand represents our unique approach to the business
of textiles and commitment to fashion leadership.
Our Circa 1801 line was established using the same high fashion philosophy that
haute couture designers used during the Golden Age of fashion; our luxurious cotton
and linen fabrics are woven with the same attention to detail and customization
fashion designers use when fitting a couture garment.
Natural fibers enhance Circa 1801’s collections. Seasonal product offerings utilize
combed cotton, mercerized cotton, and flax warps, all exclusive to the Circa brand.
A combination of beautiful damasks, stripes, plaids and ikats dominate our natural
fiber story.
The Circa 1801 design team travels the world researching fashion in both home
furnishings and apparel, and as color and pattern trends constantly evolve, we want
to bring customers worldly, superior, and on-trend styling.
